Our history
Our Journey: From Vision to Impact
Founded in 2015 in New York, Haiti Healthcare Aide (HHCA) emerged from a shared vision to address the pressing healthcare challenges faced by underserved communities in Haiti. Spearheaded by co-founder Rodolphe Guillaume, the organization was established with a commitment to delivering accessible and quality healthcare services to those in need.
In 2017, HHCA expanded its operations to Haiti, initiating its mission in two primary departments: Primary Healthcare Services and Health Education & Community Outreach. This strategic expansion allowed HHCA to directly engage with local communities, providing essential medical care and health education programs tailored to the unique needs of each area.
By 2020, HHCA had successfully extended its reach to over 30 towns across Haiti. This growth was facilitated through the establishment of three public-private partnerships with local municipal governments, enhancing collaboration and resource mobilization. These partnerships have been instrumental in implementing sustainable healthcare solutions, ensuring that HHCA's services are both effective and enduring.
Today, Haiti Healthcare Aide stands as a testament to the power of community-driven healthcare initiatives. With a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers, HHCA continues to make significant strides in improving health outcomes and empowering communities throughout Haiti.
